Choirs

SLC Community Choirs consists of two choirs. 

Crescendo

Beginning with the 2011-2012 concert season, SLC Community Choirs expanded to include an adult choir, Crescendo. Choir members must be in high school or older to participate. Auditions are held in August and are required for acceptance into the choir. The choir season is generally from September through June.

Crescendo performs serval times throughout the year and is always looking for new venues and audiences to share music!

Solfege Singers

The Solfege Singers, a children's choir with singers in grades four through eight representing numerous schools and home schools in both Lancaster and Chester County.

The mission of the choir is to enjoy singing and to sing well! Peforming a variety of repertoire, members develop their voices and singing techniques as well as learn the importance of working as a team.

The choir performs several concerts throughout the year culminating in end of season concerts in January and June. Past performances include concerts at various civic events including Chestnut Level Presbyterian CLAMS concert, the Huffnagle Park summer concert series, Night of 1000 Wishes (a benefit for Celebration for Life) and a performance of the National Anthem at Clipper Stadium for a Lancaster Barnstormers baseball game. The choir completed their 2010-2011 season in June with a performance at Walt Disney World.
